Dreaming of the Unattainable

Dreaming of the Unattainable
I've always kind of wanted to go to Harvard. It's an amazing school, and the average tuition (with need-based grants included) is only two thousand more than the tuition for UVA, so financially it's probably possible. But then again, I got two Bs in first semester, so I probably couldn't get in anyway.
Doesn't hurt to dream.

Uhhh thing (IGNORE)

Uhhh thing (IGNORE)
(GIRL)
Name: Evelyn Lucy Hawethorne
Age: 17
Personal Issues: Blunt (to the point of rudeness), lack of social finesse, hard (cold) on the outside
Bio: She has lived a relatively nice life; she was always provided for, came from a rich family, and did well in school. However, she never got on very well with her parents. She was always expected to uphold certain social standards; as a way of rebelling against her parents and 'perfect' sister, she secluded herself from most of society. She devoted herself to the study of higher mathematics, and is now considered somewhat of a prodigy. However, as she doesn't make many of her experiments and results available to the public, she has very little to show for it.
Any Extras:
Skill/Talent: Highly intelligent, gifted in mathematics; also highly gifted in ballet
Personality: Cold exterior, highly intelligent, impatient. Very kind on the inside
Likes: Math, ballet, raisins.
Dislikes: Her family, stupid people.
Clique Preferences: Nerd

(BOY)
Name: Trace Alexander Evans
Age: 18
Personal Issues: Mild history of social anxiety, quiet, still slightly socially inept but improving
Bio: He was adopted by his pianist aunt when he was 4, following the death of his parents. His aunt, however, was very kind, and helped him mostly overcome his (at one time) severe social anxiety, though he is still rather quiet for fear of saying or doing the wrong thing. He has two brothers and a sister, but was separated from them after his parents' death. He remembers very little of them. He is very intelligent, and harbors an intense curiosity towards science (mainly biology and astronomy). He has been recognized many times in both of these fields by the scientific community, and could likely have his pick of colleges when the time comes.
Any Extras:
Skill/Talent: Scientific prodigy (astronomy and biology)
Personality: Very kind, slightly socially inept, quiet, sweet
Likes: Science, wandering the woods
Dislikes: His social insecurity
Clique Preferences: Nerd

Awe-Inspiringly Average

Awe-Inspiringly Average
I didn't get into the science fair.
I have been crying for a good two hours now.
I took weeks to put together and execute this multi-part mathematics science fair project (that, I might mention, was not required for school), as well as write a 19 page paper on it. Annnd now nobody will ever know that it happened.
I'm just really done right now.
Like, how many times am I going to be told that I'm not good enough at the things I love before I finally just STOP trying to convince myself that they're the ones who have it the wrong way round?
I'm the common denominator. I've realized that now. So... I think this is my last recreational science fair. Maybe I'll start pursuing art, I've always been good at that.

GOD I have got to stop with the alliterations XD
Except they're sort of addicting... No but really, I loathe them.
The only reason I would take a husband's name would be to stop my name being an alliteration.
GOSH the stupid science fair accepted papers list STILL is not up and it's Thursday for God's sake. Hiss.
